This book presents photographs from forty years of Fouad Elkoury’s career, many of which have never been published. His images form a pictorial autobiography through different cultures, from Beirut to Paris, from Cairo to Istanbul, and in other places where he has left behind a part of himself. Independently of their subject – the concrete skeletons of skyscrapers in construction, an armed soldier waiting behind a pile of sand bags, a fur coat drying on a clothesline - Fouad Elkoury’s photographs convey the ineluctable passage of time.
