In the Red Sea, the Oman Gulf and the Arabian Sea, about twenty floating armouries provide tankers and other big commercial vessels with private guards and weapons to ensure their safety and prevent pirates’ attacks.
Former troops coming from all over the world, now working as safety contractors, are brought to these platforms in the open seas where they wait for a few days or weeks prior to be sent on the boat they will escort.

Migrants' camp of the Basroch, in Grande Synthe, is considered as the worst refugee camp in France today. Situated in about forty kilometers from Calais, this camp counts more than 2500 migrants, essentially Kurdish of Iraq, among which 230 children and about ten babies. The sanitary conditions of this camp are dreadful : for only infrastructures, two water sources and 32 toilets.  
A new site is in the course of development by MSF to offer to the refugees of Grande Synthe condition more deserving and more human to spend winter.
