Johann Rousselot

Johann Rousselot was born in 1971 in Brussels, Belgium where he studied photography at ESI – Superior School of Images – from 1992 to 1995. Associated member of Oeil Public agency in 2001 till its closure in 2010. Based in Paris, and currently represented by Signatures in France.
Solo exhibition at Visa pour l'Image in Perpignan 2012 with "Freedom Fighters" project. Winner of a grant from the Fund to support Documentary Photography, French Ministry for Culture, for "Freedom Fighters" project in 2011. Shortlisted at Sony World Photography Awards 2012 into Fine Art / Portrait category with Freedom Fighters project. Shortlisted and finalist at PhotoEspana Ojodepez Volkswagen Award in 2008. Shortlisted and finalist at the Fondation HSBC Award for Photography in 2007. Winner of a grant from Plastic Arts Department, French Ministry for Culture, for his projects "India Shining India Crying" and "Indian Night" in 2005. French Kodak Photography Award for his work "Balkans! Beast and the Beauties" in 2003.
